In Europe, an electric UAZ Hunter developed for 40 thousand euros

In the Czech Republic, MW Motors created an electric car based on the UAZ Hunter SUV. Sales of new items should start before the end of this year, according to Auto Motor und Sport. Those who want to buy an SUV have to pay 40 thousand euros.

The car was called Spartan. The Czechs replaced the regular ICE with an AC motor. At the same time, the SUV has a gearbox with five gears and a four-wheel drive system. The power of the electrical installation is 160 horsepower. The engine of the machine is powered by a battery with a capacity of 56 to 90 kilowatt hours.

The electric SUV is 120 kg heavier than the regular UAZ Hunter. The power reserve in the original versions of the car is about 200 kilometers. According to the developers, the electric SUV will be popular with farmers, forest workers and mining companies, whose operations are directly related to terrain. In addition, UAZ and MVM will create a version of Hunter with the right unit – for countries with left-hand traffic.
